Alright, this guy's ego doesn't need any more stroking but I felt compelled to leave a review because I really hated the old Kro's Nest (even predating the infamous take over). My friends all loved to eat there but I hated the spongy doughs and slick ingredients that necessitated knife and fork use. HOWEVER, this Kro's is unlike the last. I went this weekend and was so pleasantly surprised that I think this was the most pizza I've eaten in one sitting since college. The pizza's dough is actually quite thin, it even gets that nice crisp bottom that most Beijing pizzas get wrong. All followed by a gargantuan crust that you could practically wipe your mouth with if there weren't napkins around. The best pizza in the history of the world? Come on. But a good meal and place to hang with friends? Definitely.
There are a few growing pains regarding service and orders but overall this is a vast improvement from the old Kro's (and I'm not talking about Tube Station). Hopefully the renewed success will allow them to bring back those 10 yuan beers
