I saw this place pop up on the recent reviews and see that there isn't one for the hotel itself. I recommended that my family stay here on their first trip to China. I chose it primarily because it's right down the street from my apartment but also because it is close to the Lido Holiday Inn and the other international restaurants and shops. Inside the lobbies and the rooms, the Rosedale is clean, well maintained, and run by friendly, well-informed English speaking staff. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Rosedale, especially because the deal we found online was so cheap ($40-$70 a night depending on bed size, including buffet breakfast!). Though it's a bit far from the city center and any major tourist sites my family found it worthwhile to stay in a quieter neighborhood without having to sacrifice things like nearby restaurants. It may not have an Olympic or infinity pool, but there is a small spa and plenty of that other ritzy crap within walking distance if you want it. In short, I like the Rosedale for the same reason I like my apartment: quiet, comfortable, convenient, and well priced.
P.S. Check websites like Travelocity for special deals that the hotel's main website doesn't advertise.
