Lego Invades Sanlitun Taikooli for Chinese New Year

Life-sized Legos have landed in Sanlitun, with current and past Spring Festival sets popping up all over Taikooli South to ring in the Year of the Dragon.

Massive renditions of Lego’s Dragon Dance, Lion Dance, and other playsets can be found throughout the mall, with the ability to walk amongst minifigures and bricks for photo ops and fun. This current year's Spring Festival sets make an appearance as well.

You can spot one of the 2024 Spring Festival sets, Auspicious Dragon, standing outside a green-roofed lego building. Said building doubles as a Lego pop-up shop, where you can (hopefully) snag this set and others to take home and build on your own.

Lego has been releasing themed Chinese New Year sets each year since 2013. Starting with one set that year (snake themed for the Year of the Snake), the sets have become progressively more intricate since 2019. They’ve become popular over the years, with some Chinese Lego lovers collecting every Spring Festival set that’s released.

The display, pop-up shop, and other activities will be open to the public from now until Feb 20, so head there to check it out soon!
