A Look at What's Inside Our Juicy Burger Fest '23 Venue, Xindianjiyi FunsTown

It’s t-minus one week ‘til Juicy Burger Fest 2023, happening from Friday, Jul 7 to Sunday, Jul 9 at XIDIANYIJI FunsTown Creative Town.

But wait a minute, we hear you ask, what’s this FunsTown Creative Town place all about? Consider this your guide to this fairly new venue and a few things it has to offer.

Not so much two towns as it is a self-proclaimed lifestyle space, FunsTown is situated along Guangqu Lu, not too far from Baiziwan in Gaobeidian. Along with Black Sugar Plaza, where Burger Fest will be taking place, the venue is home to a select number of cafés and restaurants that are worth a visit on their own.

Here, then, are a few worth checking out.

7 Sevening Coffee

The decidedly American Southwest-inspired design of this café is fitting thanks to the summer heat. And if it’s a cup of iced coffee you’re looking for to cool off then this shop can deliver with over eight different bean varieties for pour-over coffee.

Sophia’s Feast

It’s bright pink, it’s cozy, and it specializes in one thing: chocolate-covered pies with all kinds of flavors. Paired with a juice or coffee from one of the aforementioned shops, it’s the perfect little post-burger treat.

Colorful Life Brewing

If you ordered our sample pack of Beijing beers last summer, you’ll probably remember Colorful Life Brewing having two beers in the mix. The brewery had just opened shop way back when and they’re still going strong now. Not a bad way to cool off is with a wheat or pilsner, plus, if you’re still hankering for a burger they’ve got one on the menu as well (should you wish to better inform your decision-making for the upcoming Juicy Burger Cup).

441 Bear Warehouse

Finally on our list is 441 Bear Wearhouse. It’s a bit of your run-of-the-mill Western-style restaurant but with a racing theme throughout plus a nice selection of cocktails and beer. But the reason we really added it to the list is because of the replica "White Ghost of Akina" Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno a la Initial D out front. Cool drifting car is cool.

The Beijinger's 2023 Juicy Burger Fest is happening on Friday, Jul 7 from 3pm-9pm and Saturday, Jul 8-Sunday, Jul 9 from 11am-9pm at Xidianjiyi FunsTown in Gaobeidian. Standard early bird tickets start at RMB 25/person and can be purchased by scanning the QR code in the poster.
