A Full List of the 56 Restaurants Taking Part in Chi Fan For Charity's 2022 Event

With effort put in by the committee members and firm support from the restaurants these past few weeks, 56 of Beijing's finest restaurants have already pledged to host a table at Chi Fan for Charity on Nov 12, 2022!

Time to share this with your potential tablemates and set the date to have a wonderful dinner for a good cause!

Following CFFC tradition, each of these eateries will design a special menu for a table of 10 guests, and donating all the proceeds to this year's CFFC charity recipients - Agape Family Life House, One School and FROM OUR EYES.

There's still over one month to go before the charity night, but table hosts get competitive for restaurants to pick each year, so throw your hat into the ring now by contacting Cynthia at WeChat: cynpham for any questions!

1. Pakpak (CBD)
With four locations in the CBD, Wangjing and the embassy district by Liangmaqiao, Pak Pak is known as a rollicking neighborhood temple for Thai food lovers. 2. Susu Guomao
Susu was born in a hidden courtyard home and named for a squash. 小Susu at China World is our very first spinoff shop, peering out at the “Big Pants” (CCTV HQ) in the heart of the CBD. Head chefs from Vietnam craft an amalgam of rustic and innovative cuisine to match the transcendent surroundings. Zesty spring rolls and salads, grilled signatures, hearty pho, comforting claypots, and seasonal creations offset a host of craft cocktails, from the Saigon Fizz to the Quiet American.

 

3. Canotto by The Pizza Show
Canotto is a new concept by The Pizza Show, serving a naturally fermented sourdough pizza that is crispy and airy at the same time. Come explore the flavors of modern Italy with us.

4. Forno
Meet Forno, a lively pizzeria and trattoria that serves up pizza in pala and rustic Roman dishes inspired by Italy’s capital city. Indulge in a mouthwatering focaccia mortazza, try one of our thick crispy pala pizzas or treat yourself to a bowl of ragu parpadelle from our pasta fresca menu. Of course, you’ll also find a comprehensive list of exceptional Italian wines, plus classic cocktails with our unique “Dolce Vita” twist.

5. Homeplate
American BBQ has its roots in the American South. The styles and flavors of American BBQ vary from region to region stretching from the Carolinas in the east to the great state of Texas in the west and from Kansas City in the north down to the state line where Georgia and Florida meet in the south. Here at Home Plate we bring our favorites of this vast area of BBQ together to give you the experience as only we can. Take a trip with us through our menu and sit back, relax and enjoy because down here in the South time moves slower, the stories are a little funnier, our drink’s a bit sweeter and our barbecued meats have no peer.

6. Slowboat Baitasi Taproom
Slow Boat Baitasi is a two-floor taproom with capacity for up to 160 guests. Large windows on the second floor will provide a striking view of the White Pagoda in all its glory. One bar on each floor will combine to provide 40 taps of beer while the full state-of-the-art kitchen will provide everyone’s favorite Slow Boat dishes and even some fresh and exciting recipes exclusive to the new location. While situated in the picturesque Xicha Hutong, the taproom is only a short walk to Fuchengmen and Xisi subway stations. We currently plan to open Slow Boat Baitasi in October of this year, barring any delays. We are beyond thrilled to share this space with you and to work together in providing a rewarding and exciting experience for our customers.

7. La Pizza
La Pizza is a staple of Italian cooking, serving up some authentic Neapolitan style pizza and pasta. Experience the real taste of Italy here.

8. Larry The Bird
Inspired by the lifestyle and design of The traditional American Diner, Larry the Bird boasts a fast casual menu starring the succulent Rotisserie chicken , chicken sandwiches , salads, delicious sides  and great imported beer. The overall design combines modern and retro elements, with nostalgic basketball references , a classic HipHop and Funk soundtrack . Awakening everyone's good memories of the golden ages of the 1970s, 80s and 90s. ‘’Better Chicken Better Times’’.

9. Side Street (Jianguomen)
Side Street is a family friendly bar and restaurant serving award winning burgers since 2017. Side Street is teaming up with Simone Thompson of FOODLE. She has over 10 years experience cooking around the world but really loves to cook food in the spirit of her home country, Australia. The CFFC dinner will feature a pop-up menu with a mix of Asian and Western flavors.

10. Caliente
Located in the middle of the embassy area of SanYuanQiao, there is the renowned restaurant Caliente Tapas and Wine bar. A wine destination itself. The Idyllic, peaceful and picturesque setting of Caliente is where our customer can relax or dine outdoor enjoying the beautiful weather of Beijing. Here we will be offering our guest various types of Hot and Cold Tapas including the famous specialties: Sizzling Prawn in Olive Oil, Traditional Galician Octopus and Spanish Paella. Besides that, we are distinguished for our imported Cheese and our Dry Aged Steak.

11. Hyatt Regency Beijing Wangjing
Shunpachi is a stylish, contemporary izakaya-style restaurant offering an array of Japanese specialties. At open kitchens, experienced chefs prepare fresh maki sushi, crisp tempura and steaming bowls of udon in front of guests. Three private dining rooms are available, each seating 12 guests.

Izakaya is best translated as ‘Japanese Pub’ – a place deeply rooted in Japanese culture. The origin of Izakaya goes back as far as the Edo period, and it soon gained its popularity across the country. Izakaya gives you the refreshing comforts of a drink and freshly prepared food, for this is only the start of a magical entertaining night before another bustling day of work. Shunpachi resonates with traditional Izakaya culture, dedicated as a hub for the capital’s lifestyle socialite with exquisite Japanese Izakaya cuisine.

12. HULU WAB
Hulu Next to WAB, located in WAB & Shunyi neighborhood, it provides a spacious dining area and garden seating overlooking the lake, offering a sense of Zen in the suburb. Stepping into the restaurant, one will immediately be greeted with the warmest smile, followingly served in a laid-back yet refined manner with food that won’t compromise on flavor, freshness or presentation. Hulu is an elegant and modern space where deliciousness and exceptional service could be expected.

13. Susu (Longfu)   苏苏(隆福店)
Susu was born in a hidden old courtyard home and named for a squash. Susu Longfu, set in a redeveloped creative culture yard halfway down the same hutong, is the new kid on the block. Head chefs from Vietnam craft an amalgam of rustic and innovative cuisine to match the transcendent surroundings. Zesty spring rolls and salads, grilled signatures, hearty pho, comforting claypots, and seasonal creations offset a host of craft cocktails, from the Saigon Fizz to the Quiet American.

 

14. FEAST by EAST
FEAST (Food by EAST) is our big bustling café. Following the success of Feast in EAST, Hong Kong, we brought the Feast philosophy of "simple things, done well" to Beijing. The popular café features an international menu chock-full of Asian and Western dishes using the freshest quality ingredients available, all cooked on the spot in our vibrant open kitchen. Friendly and welcoming, Feast (Food by EAST) is brimming with energy all day long.

15. O’Steak
O’Steak offers fare that is honest, simple and attractive. The steak is, of course the heart of our restaurant. But, since not everyone loves meat, we also offer a variety of salads, fish, including our famous salmon tartar, vegetarian dishes, and a variety of decadent desserts. Don’t understand French? Pas un problem. Our menu consists of iconic French dishesthat are known around the world such as “escargots à la Bourguignonne” (classic Burgundy snails) and our homemade foie gras – two dishes that are particularly popular among our Chinese clientele. It’s also the case for T-bone steak, duck confit or our warm goat cheese salad.

16. Toast
Toast Restaurant serves up Mediterranean and middle-eastern inspired mezze atop the Orchid Hotel, with plenty of terrace space and views to make either brunch or dinner feel extra-special. Taste the bold and exciting flavours of the region through an original menu of small plates, designed for sharing.

17. Furongji
Furongji's modern dimsum shows off a mix of classic cantonese dimsum and comfort food with equal amounts of fun and creatuve surprises, in a clean and classy interior.

18. Black Sesame Kitchen
Black Sesame Kitchen is a cooking school and communal dining space. We opened in 2008, originally on Heizhima Hutong in Dongcheng District, after the Beijing Olympics and the publication of founder Jen Lin-Liu’s book, Serve the People: A Stir-Fried Journey Through China.

Our mission is to provide our guests with a space to learn about cooking techniques and interact with chefs and people from around the world.

Our vision is to connect people through food with our popular Chinese cooking classes around lunch time, and communal dining and events at evenings.

19. Niajo Spanish Restaurant
Known as the Paella's place, and after 13 years of activity in Beijing since it opened its doors in 2009 at San Li Tun, Niajo has become a reference in Spanish food in the Chinese capital. Under the guidance of the Chef Álex Sánchez and with an interior design that shows the essence of Spain combining warm materials, elegance and cosiness, Niajo becomes a place to enjoy and feel the authentic Spanish gastronomy experience. During the past few years, many prizes were awarded to Niajo for his hard working, such as Best Restaurant, Best Spanish Restaurant, Best Wine List, Best Non-Hotel Brunch and so on.

20. NUO Hotel
NUO Hotel Beijing is a contemporary showcase of unique design inspired by the prosperous Ming Dynasty heritage literature, art and culture. The hotel boasts 439 guest rooms and suites, 5 restaurants and bars and a peerless collection of spa, fitness and event facilities, including a magnificent 1,600-square metre ballroom.

Playing on the word “enjoy”, N’Joy at NUO Hotel Beijing offers international all-day dining. N’Joy owns Beijing’s largest hotel restaurant buffet counter and open kitchen at over 800 square metres and with two Private Dining Rooms.

Located in the buzzy InStreet mall in Sanyuanqiao, Jing-A's newest Taproom offers 24+ of their award-winning beers on tap alongside cocktails and coffee. This neighbourhood spot specializes in contemporary London pub food with a Beijing twist - British-style pies, curries, fresh salads and deli boards alongside Jing-A classics like fried chicken and stout-powered burgers.

22. Taco Bar
The Taco Bar Beijing is an award-winning restaurant serving up a range of Mexican-inspired food and beverages in the heart of Beijing's upscale shopping and diplomatic district. 27. Maison Lyonnaise
La maison Lyonnaise is Beijing's first restaurant serving typical Lyonnaise food. Lyon is the capital of French cuisine with dishes like Andouilletes, Quenelles and charcuteries. Founded by a local French chef, Nadia Meliani, La maison Lyonnaise perpetuates the tradition of Les meres Lyonnaises and offers generous portions and quality wine selection in a convivial setting.

28. C Pearl

Founded in 2014, Cpearl is the most famous place for tasting imported raw oysters in Beijing. Cpearl has more than 10 types of raw oysters all over the world. Each oyster has different flavor, it feels like a mysterious journey to kiss the sea. Cpearl serves all kinds of characteristics food and wine,and we have different promotion every day.

29. Bottega Xinyuanli
Bottega is a super welcoming and authentic Neapolitan pizzeria where you can get a Margherita pizza served just like in Napoli. Our menu is not limited to Pizza, but also includes mouth watering pastas and Italian classics with a few fun twists from Chef Paolo. Our dedication to pizza Napoletana has earned us countless awards such as Asia’s Best Pizzeria 2021 and Gambero Rosso Three Slices.

30. Daruma
A cozy Japanese izakaya located in the heart of Beijing’s nightlife district Sanlitun. Daruma serves up excellent yakitori, small comforting plates, an extensive range of highballs, sakes and Japanese whiskies, accompanies by a soundtrack of old school hip hop classics.

31. TRiO
TRiO Wine Bar is founded by Layla who has a rich experience in food and beverage management in hotels and Ashley, a professional sommelier.

At TRiO, we don’t match wine with food: we match food with wine instead, because wine always has the final word! We offer both Chinese and Western food options. Are you one of those who cannot spend a day without local food? Méi wèn tí (没问题)! Our manager Layla, a young lady from Sichuan, the food capital of China, brings you wonderful Chinese dishes to pair with the wine. Prefer western food? Our professional kitchen team already prepared for you the most authentic western dishes to match with your wine!

32. Bistro 108
French cuisine abroad is often seen as a kitchen and a service very upscale, large plates and small portions, the founding spirit of the Bistro 108 has been to break the prejudices by offering traditional and generous cuisine. The Bistro 108 works on seasonal products as in France and offers you a new menu each season. The menu doesn't’ offer you too many options because the master word in the kitchen is "freshness and quality", from starters to desserts everything is freshly prepared every day. The wine list of the bistro is also 100% French and offers you red, white and rosé wines from all the regions of France (Bordeaux, Burgundy, Loire, Alsace and South-East).

33. Q Mex Taqueria
When you think of Mexican cuisine, you imagine dishes packed full of flavor and depth -- and that's exactly what Q Mex Taqueria delivers. Marcus Medina and the team behind Q Mex Bar & Grill designed the Taco and Tequila Bar to once again help raise the level of Mexican cuisine in the Celestial Capital. Marcus and team are focusing even more on delivering an authentic Mexican food experience. Among a wide range of other food items Q Mex Taqueria offers customers a selection of amazing tacos, sopes, quesadillas and burros.

34. Frasca
Frasca is a modern Italian eatery. Frasca, named after the symbol of the hanging branches that were used to welcome passers-by for quality refreshments in Friuli an area of Northeast Italy. Taking the meaning, Frasca offers a cozy and inviting place for people to enjoy some of the most authentic Italian food prepared in the traditional way and artisan selection of wines and classic cocktails available in Sanlitun, Beijing.

35. Opera Bombana (lunch)

We opened our door for the first time in the hearth of CBD in June 2021, followed to our second location this June in Sanlitun. La Platea have brought to the city a mediterranean vibe that can be found in our dishes and vivacious environment. Large selection of premium beers, wines and cocktails are available in both shops. ROOT 85 is Groupe FLO’s newest concept, a canteen and wine bar bringing together great food and great wine. Georgia’s Feast is traditional Georgian restaurant. The long history and rich culture of the country is the reason Georgia’s Feast is such a special place. 39. Turkish Feast

Since its beginnings in the early years of the 21st century, Hatsune has risen to become one of the most well-known restaurants in Beijing, with its signature Japanese cuisine featuring a hip California twist.

42. HANA by Hatsune 
HANA by Hatsune restaurant group is designed to appeal to foodies who truly appreciate fine foods. Mean flower in Japanese and “family”in Hawaiian, HANA is focused on family-style sharing in an ambiance that exudes beauty. The interior design of HANA is inspired by Kyoto's bamboo forests, which are unparalleled in raw beauty, tranquility and elegance.

43. El Barrio
El Barrio is a fun Mexican cantina, tequila bar and rooftop terrace that offers a laid back setting for tacos, margaritas and late night revelry. Kick back with a fruity libation in-hand and then upstairs to our rooftop terrace get the night started relax with other sun-kissed amigos. Since opening its doors in 2019, El Barrio has become Beijing’s go to Mexican restaurant and party destination.

44. Supanniga
Supanniga Eating Room by Khun Yai. Hailing from Bangkok, Supanniga Eating Room by Khun Yai opened its fourth branch and first overseas outlet located at CP Center Beijing. Recommended by Michelin Thailand since 2018, Supanniga does not boast of royal cuisine, social media-friendly plating or elaborate decor. Instead, this is where you get to experience a no-frill authentic dining experience of century-old recipes and unique taste of traditional Thai home cuisine from Eastern and Northern Isan Thailand, created by Khun Yai Somsri. 51. Wolfgang’s Beijing
As the founder of Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Wolfgang Zwiener, this famous steak house is the best gift given to him by his son - Peter Zwiener. 52. Mulu
MULU HUTONG by Chef Addison Liew. Located in one of the oldest hutong in Beijing, MULU is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year. Headed by Chef Patron Addison Liew, guests are invited to dine at his home where he creates his own signature-style of Nanyang-French Cuisine. There is no menu, dishes are created according to the freshest catch of the day and seasonal ingredients, and the Chef himself promises a dining experience which will tantalize your taste buds like you’ve never experienced before.
