5,000+ Pizza Lovers at First Day of 2017 Pizza Fest

More than 5,000 dough, topping, and cheese devotees came out to Wangjing Soho on Saturday for the 2017 Beijing Pizza Festival.

Though electricity problems delayed the event's start, all systems were go by afternoon, and vendors located at the heart of the event's grounds, like Pie Squared and Baozza/Boxing Cat, were especially big hits, boasting lines of hungry attendees that stretched from one end of the grounds to the other.

If you didn't make it today, then Sunday's pizza festivities promise to be equally fun. The appetite satiating pizza and drink vendors will be back, while entertainment comes courtesy of  Stevie Mac and The Mac Daddies and jazz band Time Out (the latter of whom will take to the stage for the second day in a row), along with DJ's spinning tunes that match this year's Carnival theme.
