Clean Air Tech Competition Aims to Accelerate Fight Against Air Pollution in China

Clear Air Alliance China (CAAC) is seeking out clean air technology providers to help Chinese cities fight air pollution in the form of their first "Bluetech Award" competition.

CAAC is a thinktank and platform focusing on treating air pollution in China through systematic technical and policy support on both national and local levels.

Clean air technologies from all over the world are eligible to apply to join the competition, and winners will be picked based on breakthrough potential in terms of environmental impact, technical performance, and financial viability. In the provinces of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanxi, and the cities of Tianjin, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Changzhou, and Xinzhou, the Bluetech Award will directly be involved in projects' set up by the CAAC an incredible opportunity.

The four award categories in this year's competition are: diesel pollution control, volatile organic compound pollution monitoring and treatment, straw re-use and recycling, and indoor air quality treatment.

It's this last category we here in Beijing are particularly obsessed with, and are eager to see cutting-edge solutions applied in a way that will benefit the residents of the city in protecting themselves against bad air.

Here's hoping that folks like HealthPro, Airgle, Smart Air and Origins get in on the competition.

Winners will have the opportunity to connect with local governments, investors, and a media presence throughout the country.

To apply, all you have to do is submit your application, which can be found here on the CAAC website or send it directly to them via bluetech@iccs.org.cn, before September 15. PS if you have trouble with the link, send them an email at bluetech@iccs.orgn.cn.
