Half-Price Pizza and RMB 30 Cocktails at New Houhai Bar Haven, July 25

Haven, a new Australian-owned cocktail bar overlooking Houhai opens its doors this Saturday July 25, from 6pm to late. 

They're starting off with a short list of cocktails (for which they need your help thinking of catchy names), popular local and imported beers, Australian wines, and a range of snacks. On top of that, pizzas made by their Napoli-trained chef will be half-price this Saturday, and selected cocktails will be available for RMB 30.

Once open, expect an extended food and drinks menu. 

The view from the rooftop is stunning, and we can confidently say, that this bar is aiming to be a big player in Beijing's nightlife scene. For those of us living in the Gulou area, it could certainly be a good contender to replace the gone-but-not-forgotten Drum and Bell Bar (may you rest in peace) and its much missed rooftop.
