Ladies and Gentlemen: The Sweet 16 of the 2014 Pizza Cup

Top seeds went down heavy in the Round of 32 of the 2014 Pizza Cup, with reigning champ Kro's Nest falling to Tube Station and all top 3 seeds in the upscale category failing to make it into the Sweet 16.

In the round's biggest upsets, 7th-seeded Tube Station zoomed past #2 Kro's Nest, while 13-seed Bang Bang Pizza managed to outdistance Sanlitun's Luga's Little Italy, ranked 5. Meanwhile, The Rug, the lowest remaining seed in the upscale bracket (at #8), knocked out the bracket's top seed Sureño by a mere handful of votes.

It was utter carnage in the upscale bracket, with the other top two seeds – LMPlus and Tavola – also going down, to Kitchen Igosso and La Dolce Vita, respectively.

It's only in the Mid-Range category that all four top seeds remain, setting up tense battles in the Sweet 16.

Can Bang! Bang! keep its Cinderella run going against heavy favorite The Tree in the Bars/Cafés category? How will Alio Olio do against the ubiquity of Annies? Will Italian style La Pizza win out over the American style excesses of Tube Station? Only your vote will tell.
