Home Plate Pioneer Seth Grossman on His Way Home to New York
Hot on the heels of last night's announcement that long-term Brick barman Dave Bob Gaspar is heading to Home Plate Bar-B-Que, we've just learned via chronic nightlife chronicler Beijing Boyce that Seth Grossman, one of the co-founders of Home Plate, is leaving Beijing next month to return to his home New York.
Grossman has been the front-of-the-house guy at Home Plate's original location since it opened and has been thrice named to our readers' F&B Personality of the Year list, winning the category outright in 2012 and 2013 and landing in the top three in the 2014 edition.
Home Plate has been consistently ranked as one or our readers' favorite restaurants and took home seven awards in this year's awards.
Beijing Boyce's column has all you need to know about the departure, so read it there now.

Re: Home Plate Pioneer Seth Grossman on His Way Home to New York
Steven,
Your smear of the person "you " say was acting creepy, was not just a smear on that man, but on the entire foreign community, as you yourself admitted that when a foreigner acts bad, their actions effect how all of us are viewed.
When you have zero evidence to demonstarte that someone was in fact acting creepy, as a journalist, you are not really acting in a responisble manner.
If in fact you prefer not to perform as a journalist, but intead as a shock jock, or National Enquirer, regardless of the impact-then you can understand why many in the foreign community should not be pleased with your actions.

ha, maybe. I possibly care about common decency amongst men and for other people's feelings more than you and Schwankert, but I wonder if you would evoke any emotion if your brother/father had the "creepy foreigner" article posted about them. I'm sure you'd feel great right?

"Yawn" Wow, you are showing yourself to be smarmy cunt.
How can you casually make such a throw away comment "you are entitled to your own interpretation of the video, even if I/we do not share it". You don't see that you are labelling a person as basically a sex offender, with no concrete proof? If you still think it's no big problem, can I post a picture of you with a young chinese girl on social media websites and other chinese sites saying that you are a rapist to under age chinese girls? Come on, it's no big deal! Please explain how you can justify doing this to a man. Are you trying to hide something yourself Schwankert?
Oh, and also, you post official articles on the Beijinger, of course your name and photo should be a available, I am just a reader replying to an official post that you made. You need to know who I am? I think not. I don't really want to take the risk of you slandering me or anyone else with some bullshit accusation.

Yawn. Your indignation is misplaced. I wasn't responding to a comment of yours.
You are entitled to your own interpretation of the video, even if I/we do not share it. As for "balls," I post under my own name, with my photograph, and our place of business is public record. Feel free to continue demonstrating your courage by commenting from behind the cloak of anonymity.

Nearly as bad as calling an innocent man a creepy foreginer who molests chinese girls? And then doesn't have the balls to rectify his mistake.

Wow. That's quite a mean-spirited thing to say about someone our readers voted Bar and Club Personality of the Year.
