Vanity Fair's recent decision to leave America's First Lady off their "International Best-Dressed List" has supposedly left the Obamas a little flustered. They recently flaked on a meeting with Peng Liyuan, China's stylin' first lady who made the Vanity Fair list this year – and the fashion conscious media wondered: Is Michelle Obama intimidated by Peng?

In the last few months, Chinese netizens have repeatedly praised their first lady for her downright class and her continued support for local brands over luxury flair. Her clothes represent a mile marker for China's fashion face. You could even go as far as to say Peng is a style hero. It's a title that's hard to beat, but if Michelle Obama needs another reason(s) to balk at the idea of being in the same room with Peng, the Jing Daily reported that Liyuan is now considered among the ranks of fashionable celebrities Lebron James, Gisele Bundchen, and Beyonce.
