Community Matters: Bai Xue Benefit Concert Raises Over RMB 60,000

Last Sunday Beijing’s music community came together in force to help a sick girl. Some of the city’s biggest live acts, including Nova Heart and Queen Sea Big Shark performed at Yugong Yishan to raise money for 23-year-old rock fan Bai Xue, who’s suffering from severe aplastic anemia. This a deadly disease that affects bone marrow and blood stem cells. The girl needs to have a hemopoietic stem cell transplantation by July 21 for a chance at surviving the illness.

The concert was a roaring success. On Monday Yugongyishan posted on Weibo that RMB 67,394.5 was raised at the concert and was directly transferred to Bai Xue’s account at Ludapei Hemotology Oncology Center.

We’ll be posting updates on the status of Bai Xue’s surgery as more information becomes available. Cheers to all the musicians and fans that participated and put money towards Bai Xue’s cause.
