Bad Case of the Mondays? Look Forward to New Weekend Brunches

Just in case you're having such a bad case of the "Mondays" that you're already planning what to eat and drink on the weekend, here's a list of new brunches to lessen the sting.

I have a hearty slow clap reserved for the genius who came up with the idea to combine two meals together while give us another excuse to sleep in. Brunch fever is catching here in Beijing. As is to be expected, the hotels are leading the charge, though an increasing number of standalone restaurants are beginning to offer it too.

With all these new brunch options, maybe we can finally move on to lobbying restaurants to start serving a 3am "din-fast." Anyone up for a post-Spark order of Spaghetti Benedict?

Alameda
Sanlitun's Alameda is now serving up a special Sunday brunch deal. RMB 188 for four courses (with soft drinks) or RMB 248 for four courses and free-flowing champagne and wine.

The Cut, Fairmont
With made-to-order entrees and an appetizer buffet, The CUT's newly-launched Sunday brunch should keep you plenty busy. RMB 458 for brunch and free-flow soft drinks, juices, specialty coffees and teas; RMB 588 including free-flow beer, wine and cocktails and RMB 688 including free-flow Piper Heidseck Champagne.

Aroma, Ritz-Carlton Beijing
Ritz-Carlton Beijing's Aroma recently expanded its weekend brunch to include Saturdays. It runs from 11.30am-3pm for RMB 488+15%. I've heard from a colleague that this is one of the best around town.

Feast, Sheraton Beijing Dongcheng (upcoming)
Sheraton Dongcheng Beijing's putting the final touches on its Sunday brunch at Feast and should be ready to launch in late June. We have yet to hear which one of you clever readers came up with the best name for it, but we have heard that it will be RMB 428+15% (without champagne) or RMB 488+15% (free-flow champagne, wine, beer, soft drinks, fresh juices, fruit and vegetable juices & selected cocktails from the buffet bar).
