the Beijinger is seeking a highly motivated Dining Editorial Assistant. This is a full-time position.

What you will do

  • Pitch and write articles for the Beijinger magazine and TheBeijinger.com
  • Conduct research for (and contribute reporting to) articles by other staff writers and editors
  • Help audit and maintain our venue database
  • Represent the Beijinger at F&B industry events
  • Constantly seeking new ways for the Beijinger to engage with its readers and the community at large

  • A distinctive editorial voice
  • Previous media experience
  • Passionate about self-improvement
  • Playful, versatile and quick to learn

Desirable traits

  • Blogging experience (in Chinese or English)
  • Active on social media (Weibo, Dianping, Facebook, etc.)
  • Familiarity/proficiency with InDesign
  • Photography skills
