While the glibness of the name “Vege Wonder” seems incongruous for a restaurant of this class, the decor is slick and modern, blending distinctive Asian elements like tatami-style wall panels and giving the feel of a futuristic Japanese teahouse. Befitting the atmosphere, Vege Wonder serves only set menus, starting from RMB 680 per person.

The museum is hosted in a traditional palace building close to the Forbidden City with five exhibition sections that are devoted to explaining the process by which China's most famous brand of baijiu is made, its nearly two-century development, and the underlying culture of baijiu.
