I was really surprised to see the negative reviews, as this is a place both I and my friends go to quite often and we've never had a bad experience. True, I preffered when there was table service instead of ordering at the counter. When you pay these prices you expect waiting staff to come take your order, but it seems to be a growing norm among similar cafes now in Beijing..
Going here you can guaruntee that what you're eating is fresh and good quality, I particularly like the soba bown, the black bean dip, and the olive tapenade although we were a bit disappointed when the tapenade was served with corn chips and we were charged extra for a slice of bread! Apart from that, everything has been great and I'll definitely go back (when I can afford it), it's almost always busy so there are obviously plenty of other people who agree.
