I was offended at seeing the description calling Lily's "traditionally greasy American food", something I would never eat, since Lily's is now my favorite restaurant.
Unlike traditionally greasy Chinese and Chinese-made American food, the food at Lily's is actually excellent. I have yet to be disappointed by anything I've ordered at Lily's, from salads, paninis, burritos, quesadillas, to pasta, other specialties (try the baked eggplant), and desert.
The prices are good for western food (lower than any other place that's still in business), and the food is generally better. The owner is exceptionally friendly and will go out of her way to accommodate to you.
Lily's is a small, cafe environment, and it's probably hard to find if you don't live in the Shuangjing area. With the caveats that the food may be slow when they're busy, and that some of the hard-to-find items on their very expansive menu are often out of stock, this is still the place to go when you want a break from oil, hot peppers, and bones (or if you don't like Chinese food in the first place.)
