We have been going to (“The Place”) Ganges for a year or so; sometimes for dinner and sometimes for the buffet. If you’re not familiar with Indian food, go for the buffet to try as many dishes as possible without breaking the bank. That’s doubly true if you’re either by yourself or with one other. Although the rice is good, I recommend heading straight for the curry, or vegetable pakora. They normally have a soup that is quite nice as well. I don’t know the name of the little pancake things that are dipped in the mint or yogurt sauces but they are very good and I’ve not seen them anywhere else. For the last month or so they have been putting on Bollywood shows after 6 on the weekend so arrive early to a) get a table or b) get the best view.

For dinner, I recommend the chicken tikka masala or the mushroom paneer with naan on the side. If you have a sweet tooth go for the (mango) lassi or if you’re cold go for the chai tea.
