So we decided to check this out, hearing it would be a mediterranian restaurant, plus its close to where we live. We were expecting good things, most of the North Sanlitun eateries offer good grub.
The waitstaff seemed to 'hover' around the table a lot, and were not sure when we questioned the menu. They hover about sitting down on tables looking slightly bored too.
The menu looks great, quite a choice, and reasonably priced. So we ordered brushetta for starters, which was the highlight of the meal in the end. The main course of lemon chicken seemed to have a whole lemon grove worth of citrus juice on it, way too sour and no chikcen taste!
Decor - the lighting in this place is truly awful, I felt like I was on stage with a million spotlights turned up full glare all over the room. Turn them down a bit and it will create a friendlier atmosphere. Or install uplighters so that the light isnt beaming onto my plate, reflecting in my eyes and blinding me!
I think with a bit of practice and polish it will be up to par with the other North Sanlitun eateries. But at the moment its a bit too rough around the edges, so only 2 stars.
