Xian'r Lao Man is easily one of the best lao Beijing restaurants in the city. Their menu is massive and after sampling much of it over the last 2 years I can say that there are very few, if any, flops. Their jiaozi are excellent in both the fried and boiled varieties. Their menu from cold dishes to chao cai are all top-notch representations of solid Beijing-style dishes. Their prices as also are quite reasonable for the quality.
The last point about prices however might reflect the one area where Xian'r could (but most likely will never) try to improve. Their service is surly and if you get on their bad side your food will magically come back "mei you le" even while you see the dishes you ordered arrive at tables all around you. But then again, it's lao Beijing, what else can you expect?
