Quick Link: China Driving Apps
We know how many of you love China-relevant iPhone apps, so here’s a recent post on the technology blog Giz-China that profiles some useful applications for drivers in China.
The post features three apps which are free to download.
The first is “China Plates,” which helps you with those characters on Chinese license plates that identify where a vehicle is from.

“China Drive – Practice For Your Driving Theory” allows you to practice the computer-based theory test necessary to get a Chinese license if you already hold a driver’s license in another country. Probably the most useful of the three apps listed in the post.

Lastly, “China Vehicle Violation Lookup” allows you to input your license plate number to see if you’ve accumulated any fines. Handy for those who like driving too fast.

A friend of mine used the China Drive app and found it very useful in gaining his license. He recently put out a free ebook designed to help foreigners through the process of getting a Chinese driver's license - it's downloadable from http://www.themiddlekingdom.org if you're interested.

Would you be interested in taking a look at our iPhone application, MO-Call?
MO-Call basically allows users to make low cost local and international calls, SMS and VoIP calls from their mobile phone. I guess this would appeal to expats and tourists currently in Beijing.
