Extreme Sports Land In China:Tianmen Hole Skydiving Live On CCTV
If you're near a TV today, then you could be in for a treat. Stuntman Jeb Corliss will be attempting to skydive through Tianmen Hole, an actual hole in a real mountain, and CCTV will be covering it live on both TV and the web.
The American has been in Hunan making preparations and there is an unmissable video of his trial run here on CCTV. James Fallows calls Corliss "a guy who puts on a 'wingsuit' and essentially converts himself into a flying squirrel" in his always-excellent coverage here, while CRI have a little more background on Corliss here.
Surprisingly, it's not just Corliss who will be jumping off the mountain as he will be followed by another seven skydivers, one of whom happens to be an Italian model. Good luck to them.
NB. We couldn't find an exact time that this will take place, so keep checking CCTV.
Updated: This post has been amended to include video of Corliss' successful flight.

Hi,
If anyone is interested in insane people, feel free to watch. He was on another jump and his jump mate slammed into a bridge at 120 mph and exploded into bits. What he does is no different than playing russian roulette.
He should be arrested at the airport.
Just saying,
dh
