Talking Tunes: Flying Solo, Heems Hits Temple and is Half of LMFAO Coming?

Fresh from the break up of his band, Das Racist, Heems is in town for a show this weekend supported by label mate Lakutis and Man Chyna. He, along with erstwhile band members Kool A.D and Dapwell, hit China for a mini tour shortly after they blew up back in 2010, and this Sunday marks Heems' first return.

He will play Temple on Sunday night. Here's the detritus Heems left the last time he was in town; a rather catchy ditty he laid down with our very own DJ Wordy.

Tonight, Chasing Star and Whai play at Yugong Yishan, before Sparrow launch their new EP, Rainbow Mountain, with a show at Yugong Yishan on Friday night.

Elsewhere this weekend, on Saturday night Nova Heart play a show at 2 Kolegas supported by The Amazing Insurance Salesmen, and School Bar is reborn.

Some news: Sky Blue, also known as one half of American party pop duo LMFAO, could be set to perform in Beijing on January 12. As yet there are no further details. Stay tuned. Also, witch house electro star Grimes is set to land in Beijing for a show at MAO Livehouse on Mar 21.

Finally, San Francisco indie rockers Thee Oh Sees, have just been confirmed to play Beijing in February. They will perform at 2 Kolegas on the 21st.

Three options to play us out there, we've opted for this number by LMFAO, Party Rock Anthem.

Don't forget, there are plenty more music events around town in the coming week, you can check them out here.
