Just the Tickets: Win Free Entry to JUE 2013

Five years seems like a long time in Beijing. Many venues never make it to a half-decade; many expats depart long before they hit that milestone. JUE Music + Art has beaten the odds. This year’s festival, which takes place in March, marks their fifth year of bringing Beijingers their fill of multidisciplinary urban arts. Beijing (and Shanghai, as if that matters) will play host to an unprecedented seven categories of JUE events: Music, Art, Film, Literary, Community, Performance and Talks.

What does that mean for you? Music shows, film screenings, theatre performances, literary workshops, green initiatives and much, much more. Expect some really big names (the handsome Englishman Frank Turner and Canadian indie dance fair y Grimes) and unexpected treats like the China premiere of the hip-hop documentary Mongolian Bling and a visit from Sun Ra Arkestra leader Marshall Allen.

A month of fun and fulfillment can be yours. We’ve partnered up with JUE to give one lucky reader a pair of All-Events Passes (worth RMB 4,000) for free entry to every single happening on the program, excluding workshops.

For your chance to win, just answer this question: What is the English translation of the JUE character (觉)?

Send your answer to win@thebeijinger.com before Feb 28. Good luck.
