Cheesy Pizza Month Spotlight: US Pizza – New York Style Pies
It's the 2024 Cheesy Pizza Month and starting today, we're going to be taking a spotlight look at the different varieties of pizza available from our 19 participating pizza purveyors starting with the places slinging US style pizzas, and more specifically classic New York style pies.
Big Joe Pizza
Rising from the ashes of pizza joint Joe’s Pizza, Big Joe's opened up this summer. They're known for their big classic New York style pies, which in true NYC fashion, can be purchased by the slice.
Participating pizza(s): Pepperoni
This New York style pizza keeps things simple with the classic combination of pepperoni and mozzarella, and red sauce.

GREAT LEAP BREWING
Along with burgers and beer, Great Leap is also known for their New York style pies. Just like any good NYC pizza they're big in size and their use of a sourdough base gives them a perfect crispy bottom.

A limited edition pizza created just for Cheesy Pizza Month, this sees one of Great Leap's New York style pies topped with classic pepperoni, zesty jalapenos, fresh basil, mozzarella and parmesan.

PYRO
A longtime Wudaokou stalwart, Pyro has been slinging pies since way back when and has long been a popular haunt for Haidian's hungry student population.
Participating pizza: Supreme Pizza
Pyro's most popular pizza, it comes topped with mozzarella, pepperoni, sausages, salami, onions, green peppers, mushrooms and black olives.

This year's Cheesy Pizza Month is brought to you by Cheese from the USA and here are a few words from them:
