How to Catch the Tokyo Paralympic Games

The Tokyo Olympics may have wrapped, but true Olympic fans are still keeping their eyes on Tokyo as the Paralympic games launch tomorrow, following the opening ceremony tonight at 6.50pm.

China will be sending its largest-ever delegation to the two-week-long event with 251 Chinese athletes competing in nearly all of the 23 events with the exceptions of wheelchair rugby and equestrian. But whether you want to follow China, your own country, or athletes from all over the world, here's how to watch.

How to watch

If you're at your computer, you can catch the stream on CCTV (https://tv.cctv.com/). Select 直播 (zhíbò) from the menu and then select CCTV-5 for the sports channel.

From your phone, you can stream from apps like 咪咕视频 (Mī gū shìpín).

Of course, if you have access to YouTube, you can stream all the events on the official Paralympic Games channel.

When to watch

Competitions will be held daily from 7.50am until around 9pm from Aug 25-Sep 5. A detailed schedule of event times can be found at paralympic.org/tokyo-2020/schedule.
