Learning how to think 'Chinese' is a workshop for both foreigners and Chinese alike. It is inspired by the personal and professional backgrounds of a Chinese citizen living and working in the UK and a German living and working in China. In this workshop their experiential knowledge and academic expertise in management science, Chinese culture and philosophy are brought together to provide the participants with a creative and explorative workshop experience.
The workshop is based on the latest approach in management education aiming at fostering a deeper understanding through an experiential, aesthetic exploration. Hence, in this workshop the attendees will explore the philosophical background of the 'Chinese way of thinking' in a playful, creative way by immersing themselves in the fascinating and poetic motifs of Chinese traditional paintings. Especially shan shui 山水 paintings visualise an essential part of the Chinese value system and the Chinese way of thinking.
Whereas 'understanding China' is vital for foreigners in order to succeed in this culturally quite challenging environment, this workshop may also provide Chinese with a fresh perspective on their own cultural heritage.
Learn differently and join our explorative workshop to:
- Gain a deeper understanding of 'the Chinese way of thinking'
- Understand its implications for management and leadership in China nowadays
- Take these values as an inspiration for personal and professional development
