Maeda Coffee 前田珈琲

Founded by Takahiro Maeda, Maeda Coffee was first established in 1971 in Kyoto, the same year that Starbucks was founded in Seattle, but Takahiro Maeda set Maeda Coffee for a different direction from the start. He picks the coffee beans from the small regions in Brazil, Colombia and Guatemala, personally roasts them, then sends them to different branches on the hand drip coffee. Opened as the first ever location outside Japan in Beijing, it specializes in hand drip coffee (RMB 58-98).
