For those that participate and revel in the yearly tradition of giving thanks, it is a unique holiday that requires little besides joining friends and family and surrounding yourselves with a massive spread of delicious food. And, the best part being, no gift giving is needed!


This exclusive set menu from Chef Deivid Paiva will be no exception to these simple requisites. If you are feeling homesick this Thanksgiving for traditional American flavours of fall but inspired by contemporary European style cuisine, you will find this and more in his set four-course menu set for Nov 23-26 at Grill 79.


The set-meal (RMB 428) cracks off with a stunning plate of pan-seared scallops served with a sweet corn polenta and a crustaceous sauce, followed by a butter squash cream Soup complemented with a succulent smoked duck breast. As you may know, Thanksgiving is never complete without turkey. For this occasion, Paiva has whipped up a Turkey Roulade, with sides of mashed potatoes, green beans, caramelised red onion, and cranberry. Finally, for dessert, the chef will be imbuing the course with his Italian style through creating a Chef cannoli filled with pumpkin puree and topped with coconut shavings and cheese mousse.
