Wang Zongxing, born on July 5, 1978, studied saxophone under Mr. Mi Heping, professor of Orchestra Department of Xi'an Conservatory of Music since the age of 13, and chose music as my future dream and pursuit. In 1997, he entered Beijing MIDI Music School to study jazz saxophone playing. He studied with Mr. Lu Tingquan, a famous jazz saxophonist and educator in China, and began to study jazz saxophone playing. Since 1999, he has been a saxophone player in China Oriental Performing Arts Group. Since 2009, he has been a saxophone teacher in the Jazz Department of Beijing Modern Music Conservatory.
 
He moved to New York in 2012 under the tutelage of jazz legend Barry Harris , Antonio Hart, Professor of Jazz at Queen's University, and Grammy Award Winning Professor in Composition Michael Mossman Jazz saxophonist David Liebman and Berklee College of Music Jazz Professor George Garzone Jazz
