Satoshi Kataoka, an outstanding guitarist, composer and arranger who lives and works in New York, is at The City College of New York. Specializing in jazz performance, and studied with world-renowned musicians John Patituci, Mike Holober, Scott Reeves and others.

In 2015, he released his debut album "Fall Into the Place," released by American music label Surca and Apollo Sounds. The album features performances by Adam Kolker (BillyHart, Paul Motian), Pablo Menares (Melissa Aldana's Crush trio, Claudia Acuna) and Allan Mednard (Kurt Rosenwinkel, Aaron Parks).
