When Rock’n’ Roll becomes Intangible Cultural Heritage in the future, how a passionate teacher, Mr.Dan, make the class love Rock’n’ Roll again?

Let’s get in the time machine, travel back to a time, and rock things up!

On Egg Planet, in the year 2154, two hundred years after the birth of rock music, everyone is into electronic music while few people are interested in the history of rock music. As a result, rock music has become an intangible cultural heritage on the edge of dying out. Having a hard time recruiting students, You Rock School is in a stalemate, almost having to let go of teachers.

Mr. Dan and Genius, as the school teacher and assistance, start a journey of saving Rock'n' Roll. Together, they travel back to the rock music scene from the 1950s through the 1980s. They danced with Elvis and share the stage with the Beatles.

You Rock School presented by Stallion Era, leading by two main characters Mr. Dan(Dan Taylor) and Genius(Elisa Hong). Through games and interaction, demonstration of music and highlights, and important moments of Rock music history, You Rock School will take kids on an adventure of rock'n'roll and fun.

Half-day Music Camp

In You Rock School we offer you a half-day camp of music with 2 different kids workshop in Nanyang theatre: “Let's PLAY: music interaction game workshop” by 多拉音乐(Dolla Music)& 邓柯(Dengke), “Swing Trial Class for Kids” leading by 摇摆北京(Swing Beijing)

Music workshop recommended and organized by 邓柯（Deng Ke), well known as a music influencer in China.

DAN TAYLOR (England)

Playing MR.Dan

Dan Taylor majored in Literature at Leeds Beckett University, United Kingdom, and came to China in 2014. He founded and sings in the band "The Harridans." The band released its album "Fuzzing the Muse "in 2016.

Dan has been immersing himself in music education for youth for the past twelve years. He has been teaching at international schools and has starred in music theater productions across Europe and China.

Music is where Dan's passion lies. Dan grew up in a family of music lovers. He studied classical music when he was a child and later come to master multiple instruments and diverse music genres. After graduating from university, he traveled across Europe and learned techniques and styles from different places. This experience gave his music rich taste and layers, a poetic flavor, and imaginative power.

Dan is currently living in Beijing and is working as a music/ English teacher at ETU since 2018.
