The first ever summer camp organised by Hegde Bilingual School is themed “Silk Road- Connecting the World, You and Me.” Through the interdisciplinary nature of this summer camp, the children with explore the thousand-year history of the Silk Road, and understand the connections between Europe and Asia which still affect us today. During the course of these 5 days, students will experience some of Hede School’s captivating courses in subjects like Chinese, Design Thinking, Art, as well as explore the artistic treasures, trade essence and ancient culture of the Silk Road through simulations.
On the last day of the camp, students will role-play as people from various countries buying and selling goods on the Silk Road, as a culmination of their learning. They will design and operate bazaars to show parents and teachers what they have learned over the course of the week. It is worth mentioning that the curriculum of this summer camp has been designed by Hede’s teachers, who will teach the students personally and provide them with a lively week of classes
