How to tell a story in a mere ten minutes? What is the best way to capture today’s emotional undercurrents in moving images? Short films offer endless possibilities to these questions.

86358 Short Films Week, the second of its type, is a project initiated by Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) collaborating with JIA SCREEN. This year, they’re bringing 24 short movies that are stylistically distinct, spanning experimental, fiction, essay film, animation, and documentary in genre.
