LoReLi is not a person, neither is it a collective. LoReLi is actually an acronym, based upon Looking, Reading, and Listening. LoReLi started with weekly updates and interviews with local artists, musicians, and writers, and has consistently become less consistent in content and cohesion. LoReLi has even made a cassette - it's incredibly silly, but actually good. LoReLi's all grown up now, come and celebrate. There will be party bags, and cake. It might be fun.

Rainbow Machine - Ambient Rainbow Psych

“Rainbow Machine” is a collaborative project formed between Noise Arcade and Rothwell, aptly named after Earthquaker Devices' self-oscillating pitch shifter, sound shaper, and noise maker. Focussing on rhythmic drone excavations, the duo explore soundscapes and audial oxymorons through manipulating analog electronics and digitized acoustics.

As individuals, Noise Arcade has taken his unique arpeggiated sound from South East Asia to the rest of the world, whilst Rothwell has mainly stuck to the safety of dive bars, and the occasional festival in China/UK. Both can be found fiddling with knobs in the avant-doom ensemble DFA1989.

Struggle Session - Brutally Fun Hardcore


Ripping out of Beijing’s darker corners is STRUGGLE SESSION, the current standard bearers for brutal fastcore in the Chinese capital. Hailing from the US, Canada, and Australia, this motley crew of international miscreants bonded in Beijing over a shared interest in fun, fast music, and partial on-stage nudity. STRUGGLE SESSION was born as a tempest on the Beijing musical landscape sharing bills and beers with hardcore, metal, and post-punk bands alike.

STRUGGLE SESSION features members of Beijing hardcore-punk band Fanzui Xiangfa, Australian synth-grind Scrotal Vice, Moroccan hardcore band W.O.R.M., and US band Handed To The Thousands. After ripping a hole in their local scene and sharing stages with like-minded misfits across the country, STRUGGLE SESSION, previously known as Dress Code, are set to release a split 12” with Guangzhou's Die! Chiwawa Die! and take their frenetic show on the road, partying with Moroccan and southern Spanish squats on their inaugural international tour.
