The Funky Monks are the only Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band that appears in the Beijing music scene sporadically and puts on a very high energy show that attendees will not forget. In 2016, on the 25th anniversary of the release of the album Blood Sugar Sex Magic, The Funky Monks performed two shows in Beijing that were both packed with Chili Peppers fans from all over the city.

2018 sees the return of The Funky Monks; this time performing the hit album Californication in its entirety along with many of your other favorite Chili Peppers song. There will be tons of surprises in wardrobe, props, and much more.

Jake Gerl aka Jake Frusciante: Guitar skills on par with the real deal, you’ll be hypnotized by the tone of his wailing solos and funky riffs.

JP Fernandez aka JFlea: JP and Flea are almost identical except for bass skill, curly hair, and the high pitch voice (basically identical front tooth gap); in Flea’s own words: “I play the bass in your face to make you want to _____.”

Conor Watson aka Conor “Will Ferrell” Smith: Conor’s beats will have you grooving all night; tight funky beats, crazy gorilla solos. Prepare yourselves.
