Sim Chi Yin was commissioned as last year’s Nobel Peace Prize photographer to make an exhibition on the 2017 Peace Prize winner, the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN). She travelled 6,000 kilometers along the China-North Korea border and through six states in United States, to create a series of diptychs reflecting on humans’ experience with nuclear weapons, past and present. As an artist, she is particularly interested in history, memory, and migration and its consequences, working in photography, film, sound, text and archival material. Join her at this event as she discusses the Fallout/Nobel project and some other aspects of her award-winning creative work. Sim Chi Yin will be in conversation with Becky Davies, Beijing correspondent for Agence-France Presse.
