The exhibition will present the work of ten artists from the Marcel Duchamp Prize. Together, they make up a representative cross-section of the current dynamism of multifaceted French creativity, which steadfastly transcends the categorizations of the contemporary art scene. By revisiting and transcending the foundations of “painting” - a term understood in the broad sense of “representation” - these artists seize the world via a projection of their critical, utopian spirits. In the manner of a collection of short stories, this “story” can be accessed from several different angles.

These 10 works each take place in 10 separate “climates”: rooms conceived entirely by the artists themselves as extensions of their work and their artistic universes, crystallizing their research in an unprecedented manner. As a reflection of this early twenty-first century digital era in which we move from one image to another, voluntarily or otherwise, the works presented here are a series of novel propositions for the viewer to experience and put in perspective.
