It’s been 5 years since DOT Records launched on May 4th the Youth Day in 2013.

Even though the name “DOT” reflects a gentle initiative, our idea back then still sounds young and ambitious, “sound, visual, events, we make the dots and connect them.” However switching from the legendary Acupuncture Records to DOT Records wasn’t that easy. As the title of Shanghai Daily newspaper feature on DOT says, “Electronic Dance Music Label Throws Party”, right that’s actually all we’ve done. After the ordinary “CONNECT THE DOTS” party vol. 5 and DOT 2nd Anniversary in April 2015, we went through a long pause.

It’s been three years since then. Elvis has been seriously producing, touring and doing workshops either carrying his overweight modular cases or in his fully-equipped-like-Ebon-Hawk studio. Miao has been playing around throwing parties here and there and tried to work out Boiler Room and something like Burning Man.

what does it mean that these two maniacs are re-launching DOT? Well, they never forgot it’s called DOT Records. Stay tuned for a chance to grab the first DOT vinyl release coming out in June.
