Hung Huang is a media executive and has has hosted several TV shows including ‘Bright Talk’ and has also starred in a Chinese film. The Chinese mogul also boasts over nine million followers on Weibo – and in 2011 she was included in Time magazine’s poll for their ‘100 Top Time Candidates’ for the most influential people world wide.

She has made a career out of bold statements and bold action and is an authoritative speaker with a hugely influential voice in Chinese culture. In addition to her business acumen, Hung is well-known for her outspoken commentary on Chinese society, culture, and politics. Despite the fact that she comes from a politically elite background (her mother taught English to Chairman Mao and her stepfather was the Minister of Foreign Affairs), her willingness to speak her mind openly on any topic has earned her a staggering 11.9 million followers on Weibo.

During this evening seminar Hung Huang will share some of the lessons that she has learnt from her own professional career, and talk about the the importance of helping women overcome the barriers from within, and what she has realised about the unique challenges that women face in China.
