After forging a curious friendship with Kim Jong-Un, the supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), former professional basketball player Dennis Rodman’ embarks on a controversial mission to North Korea to improve frosty US-DPRK relations. Amid widespread condemnation and nuclear threats, he takes a delegation of former NBA players to North Korea to stage a basketball game on Kim Jong Un’s birthday. Filmmaker Colin Offland followed Rodman to Pyongyang and documented this often hilarious visit, offering a behind- the-scenes account of the much-publicized exhibition game.
On April 23rd, the Hutong will screen ‘Dennis Rodman’s Big Bang in Pyongyang’. Following the film, Koryo Tour’s General Manager Simon Cockerell – who attended Rodman’s historic basketball game in Pyongyang – will be there to talk and answer any questions about the film and the tournament.
