In light of Beijing fashion week, Peking University will bring the glamour, lights, and creative energy to campus in the university’s first ever fashion show on Thursday December 1st. The show is not only set to showcase the diversity and creativity of the students of PKU, but also provide exposure to China’s young fashion designers, encourage artistic and creative endeavors at Peking University and promote Beijing as a source of budding creativity in the fashion world. 

The show is set to be streamed live on Youku and Zhibo YY Live and feature number of Beijing-based high end fashion designers, including Richard, Poppy, and Kent Tsang. There will also be a celebration of traditional fashion from around the world, representing a variety of countries including Mongolia, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Russia, Japan and South Africa, a collection of business apparel, as well as an appearance from a few Peking University sports teams. With both Chinese and International students modeling the clothes, PKU’s vibrant international student body will undoubtedly be highlighted. 

First year Peking University Guanghua International MBA student, Jonathan Ly has taken on the challenge of organizing the show alongside his international MBA classmates. On behalf of the international MBA students, we hope this fashion show will not only be a night to remember but an event that will continue to embrace Peking University’s diversity and creativity for years to come.
