Born in 1994, Xu, Zhitong set sail his journey of music from playing piano at four, and then

changed to drum at eight. When he was 15, Xu had his first taste of jazz under the guidance of

Chinese famous Chinese jazz drummer Yongheng Wu(Beibei). In 2011, Xu went to German and

studied Jazz in Hochschule fur Musik Würzburg, under the guidance of Professor Bill Elgart from

the United States and Professor Bastian Jütte from German. In June 2015, Xu graduated from as

a straight A student, and then pursued his master degree in Hochschule fur Musik und Theater

München, ranking the top one applicant.

Young as he is, Xu has become the most sensational drummer in China with his unbeatable

playing techniques and mutual musical style. His study experience and unique understanding

towards music made him a benchmarking drummer in China now.
