Can you imagine your life in China without Tencent’s WeChat? Tencent is a company this has been changing life in China in a myriad of ways. It’s more than a company running the most successful social network, the biggest game maker, or news portal. Tencent has built an eco-system in Internet banking, entertainment, and even electric vehicles. More than that, Tencent is heavily investing in broad IT sectors, namely online education, medical, on demand services.

So what can we learn from Tencent, as smaller tech startups are mushrooming in China? How are the small fish to compete for food in an ocean with more whales than ever before?
