Over the years we have been to Shidu numerous times (including last month) and the trip normally sells out very fast.

This event is for FCGroup members (and friends) who wish to Escape Concrete Beijing for a fun and relaxing day and who appreciate that true Networking and Netbonding is based on shared interests and experiences.

Shidu is in Beijing’s Fangshan District (South West Beijing) and is about 4 kilometres from the border with Hebei.

We first discovered Shidu as a day trip destination back in 2007 and have re-visited it many times over the intervening years.

Shidu (literally 10th Crossing) is often referred to as the ‘mini River Li” (Guilin and Yangshuo) and is considered to have the most beautiful waterscape in suburban Beijing.

We believe that you too will find that the combination of the calm, winding Juma River and the pretty, green mountains that straddle it justify this reputation.

Our programme for the day includes lazily drifting along the Juma River, a healthy BBQ lunch from the local farm (and drinks), a stroll though some of the best scenic spots (think East Lake Port) and the glass skywalk.

We anticipate arriving back in Beijing by 8:00pm.

Not included: Personal Expenditure.

Recommended: Hat, Comfortable Shoes, Sunblock, Bag / Belt to carry water, change of clothes, Camera and Smile.

This drifting section of the day is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant.

There is an approximately 60 minute walk up to the glass bridge.

The trip is not stroller/push chair friendly.
