Ming Dynasty City Wall Ruins Park 明城墙遗址公园

This awkwardly named wall section was refurbished using traditional lime and plaster and contains many of the original bricks, which were returned by residents who were using them in homes, air-raid shelters and toilets. The eastern end is Dongbianmen Watchtower, a former gate to the Inner City that now houses the hip Red Gate Gallery. From here, it's possible to walk to another remnant of the wall, the Ancient Observatory.
