Boasting edgy interior designs and a lakeside view of Houhai, Ken De Rouge mingles food and art in an East-meets-West atmosphere filled with Tang dynasty chairs, rattan-woven fans, exposed brick walls, leather chairs, an open kitchen and three stories. The poetically composed menu emphasizes seafood includes contemporary takes on Chinese ingredients with such dishes as silken tofu mousse toped with crab roe, a dish of crunchy forest mushrooms sautéed in a teriyaki-like sauce and crispy prawns with cumin and chili served atop a mound of dry ice.
