Hakkenden 八剑传

Located on second floor of Sanlitun Soho, Hakkenden is a humble Japanese izakaya, which originates from Osaka and has more than 30 branches in China. The kitchen specializes in sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot, RMB 58), and dozens of types of teriyaki (RMB 6-8 per chuan'r).

Hakkenden also stands as one of the cheapest izakayas around Sanlitun offering drinks, only setting you back RMB 16 for a pint of Asahi; RMB 30 for a small bottle of Shochikubai sake, or RMB 50 for a large. You can also get shōchū or plum wine for around RMB 30-45 a glass.
