While CIEE has many different programs for educational exchange, its Beijing study-abroad program is reserved for current students at American universities.
There is a Chinese-language and Cultural Studies program for absolute beginners, and an intensive Chinese-language program hosted at Peking University for beginner through advanced levels. In addition to the language offerings, advanced students can take advantage of the large range of electives offered by the PKU Chinese department and are allowed one course taught in English. Students generally live on campus, but a limited number elect to stay with a host family. Tuition (Cultural Studies program): USD 12,500 (Semester); (Intensive Chinese-language program) USD 21,400 (Academic year).
