Even though much of Beijing's cocktail scene concentrated in Sanlitun, a few hot new lounges are opening further afield to appeal to barflies living in other parts of town. The Catail lounge brand is a prime example, what with its two locations in Haidian. Better still: because you're not in Sanlitun, you won't be paying Sanlitun prices (ie north of RMB 100 per glass). The RMB 88 Daniel Special cocktail at Catail, for instance, is made with Sloe gin, maraschino liqueur and other ingredients, while the Stolen Kisses is made with house vodka, gin, peach puree, French lime and other ingredients.
